Jefferson Regional actually has two distinct pharmacies The Apothecary For the convenience of patients being discharged from the hospital, those visiting one of the many physicians in our Medical Office buildings or the community at large, The Apothecary retail pharmacy is able to fill prescriptions sent directly from the doctor's office, or for patients with written prescriptions from their physicians. The facility includes a wide selection and reasonable prices for over-the-counter medications, therapeutic aids, and other items available at national pharmacy chain stores and discounters. The Apothecary provides call-in refill services and easy access on the ground floor of the south Medical Office Building near the hospital's emergency department and admitting area entrances. Hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, please call 636-933-1600. Hospital Pharmacy To provide the necessary medications and pharmacist consultations for inpatients, the hospital's pharmacy provides the most sophisticated pharmaceutical services available including supplies for the emergency department, operating rooms and cardiac catherization lab. The hospital pharmacy monitors potential drug interaction and dosing limitations for inpatients including medication prescribed by their physicians while in the hospital and any home medications they may have been taking prior to admission. |
