Publications
The Jefferson Memorial Hospital Foundation publishes and distributes a community newsletter called "Friends Make a Difference." The newsletter includes information about the Foundation, its contributors, and how donations help ensure superior-quality health care for our community. The newsletter also highlights upcoming Foundation events and how people in the community can start making a difference by contributing to the JMH Foundation.

Scholarships
Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Craig Ruble was a recipient of a Jefferson Memorial Hospital Foundation Scholarship toward his medical school education.
A graduate of DeSoto High School, Dr. Ruble attended Medical School at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. He also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Phoenix, Arizona. The Foundation also provides scholarship opportunities in nursing and other health care related fields. Scholarship grants require future employment and grade point average commitments from students. For scholarship information or applications, call the Foundation office at 636-933-1324.
Volunteers
The Foundation relies on volunteers for all of its activities, from Foundation Board Representatives to assistance at the Organization's special events. To volunteer assistance to the Foundation, call Development Coordinator Kim Elbl at 636-933-1324.
The hospital Auxiliary has an established volunteer pool that provides assistance in the hospital, including operation of the hospital coffee and gift shops, transporting patients, and providing information services.
The Auxiliary has provided financial assistance to the hospital in many instances with needed equipment and renovations, including paying for the remodeling of the facility's main entrance in 2004.
