JMH’s surgical services range from a full-array of outpatient procedures to the most sophisticated open-heart procedures. Our ability to offer such advanced surgical services is because of our superior staff of surgical specialists and technicians, along with the latest technological equipment.
As part of meeting our commitment to providing the highest standard of care in the community, JMH partnered in 1999 with local surgeons and ambulatory surgical specialists to build the Jefferson Memorial Surgery Center, located across highway 61 from the Hospital. The Jefferson Memorial Surgery Center offers a team of surgical nurses, technicians, anesthesiologists, and physicians specializing in outpatient surgery. The Center is designed to meet the specific needs of those patients requiring outpatient surgery; this includes the latest in laser, laparoscopic, and other surgical equipment, along with a beautiful and home-like overnight stay facility.
For those patients requiring an inpatient surgical procedure, the Hospital’s Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) features technically advanced monitoring equipment and specially trained staff to handle the most complicated post-surgical needs of our patients.
