Medical Imaging

PET/CT Myocardial Imaging

A new diagnostic tool - This proven oncology technology may be an alternative to stress tests. Myocardial viability may be assessed following an initial diagnosis or inconclusive SPECT. The PET exam pinpoints metabolic activity in cells, and the CT exam provides an anatomical reference.

Greater reimbursement - PET imaging is now reimbursed by Medicare and many private insurances.

Expertise - Interpretation provided by the respected and experienced radiologists of Scott Radiological Group.

Outpatient Imaging Center (Cardiac Scoring)

Early detection of artery disease - Cardiac Scoring (coronary calcium scoring) is a non-invasive, painless screening of the heart utilizing JMH's newest CT Scan technology to detect calcium deposits in the coronary arteries and early signs of coronary artery disease.

Convenience and patient privacy - As with other services provided in JMH's dedicated Imaging Center, procedures are quick and on schedule.

The center is designed to respect patient privacy, with men's and women's changing areas and a separate pre-test waiting area.

Nuclear Heart Imaging

Nuclear imaging scans let doctors see how the heart is working, rather than how it looks.

Convenience - For ease of scheduling, the service is available for next-day testing. The service is closer to many patients’ homes.

Continuity of care - Examinations are monitored by the patient's cardiologist instead of a radiologist or panel of independent cardiologists.
