Services
JMH Hospice offers the following features for all who receive Hospice care:
- Hospice Nurse on call -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Nursing care to assist with physical care, pain control, symptom management, comfort management, and emotional support needs
- Pain control and symptom management
- Trained volunteers to provide relief to the caregiver
- Nursing staff who visit the home when the patient dies to help assist the family, day or night
- Staff who visit the home when the patient dies to help assist the family, day or night
- Payment of consulting physician fees
- All diagnosis related services, drugs, supplies, and medical equipment are covered under the Medicare and Medicaid hospice benefit and some insurance plans
- Hospice provides the most cost-effective care alternative to people who have life-limiting illnesses and decreases the need for re-hospitalizations
