Hospice News
Are you searching for an opportunity to extend a loving hand? Volunteers are always needed to assist with our Hospice program. If you have time available and like to help others, Hospice is a rewarding way to become involved with a very special program.
There are many ways you can help — volunteers are needed to provide respite care for families, to visit nursing home residents, to perform clerical duties, and to assist with gardening and upkeep of our beautiful Memorial Garden and Brick Pathway. The garden and adjoining pathway are located next to the Hospice and Home Care building on the JMH campus, and everyone is invited to stop by to see the garden, enjoy its beauty, and share in the special memories it holds. The laying of the adjoining memorial brick pathway has also begun, with over 300 memorial bricks already installed and new orders being taken every day. So, if you are looking for a special way to honor and remember a loved one, call Barbara Pott at 636-933-5779 and request additional information and a brochure.
In addition, we have established a special Hospice room at JMH for the benefit of our patients. When a Hospice patient requires respite or inpatient care, we have a nearby room available for family members that has been specifically designed to feel like a home setting. This very special room has been created through many generous donations made by patient’s families and friends, and we here at JMH Hospice thank them for their generosity, caring, and commitment to others.
